Growing up in the Netherlands—a country below sea level, I had no idea nature could have such an impact on you. When I first saw the mountains in Norway, it felt like a dream. Back home, I felt homesick for these wild landscapes.
Lucky to have cameras around in my childhood, it felt natural to express my love for the outdoors through photos and videos. I continued to dream of hiking and wild camping in the mountains, so when I got my driver’s license, I went to the mountains as often as I could. These places are beautiful, but it’s more than just documenting the world.
It’s not just the places we visit, it's the experiences we share.
It's the intimate & meaningful moments in between, like sipping hot chocolate as the mountains glow in golden light. A happy dance on the beach, catching the first waves. Sometimes it's freezing in your sleeping bag, waiting for the rain to stop. These simple moments are the experiences we'll never forget, the ones that connect us to nature. They are all part of the story.
By telling my stories, I realised they have the power to make people feel something and see the world differently.
